Tele-Collector - Associate

Credit and Collection Department

A Tele-Collector Associate is the backbone of a collections team, ensuring smooth operations and supporting tele-collectors in maximizing their efficiency and effectiveness. You'll wear multiple hats, handling administrative tasks, overseeing team performance, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage account assignments and ensure accurate distribution to tele-collectors.
  • Process payments received from customers and update account records.
  • Prepare reports on team performance, collection rates, and other key metrics.
  • Maintain detailed records of all collection activity, ensuring compliance with Fair Debt
  • Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and other relevant regulations.
  • Manage telephony systems and software used by the collection team.
  • Monitor tele-collector calls to ensure adherence to company policies and legal regulations.

Basic Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in collections or a related customer service field.
  • Strong understanding of FDCPA regulations and collection best practices.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and collections software.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and reports.
