Credit Investigator - Associate

Credit and Collection Department

We are looking for an experienced Credit Investigator to join our lending company. The role involves investigating and evaluating the creditworthiness of loan applicants through on-site inspections and document verification, conducting credit checks and background investigations, and making recommendations on loan approvals or rejections.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough investigations of loan applicants' creditworthiness, including income, assets, debts, and credit history.
  • Perform credit checks and background investigations.
  • Prepare reports summarizing findings and recommendations on loan approvals or rejections.
  • Ensure compliance with lending policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards.
  • Participate in training and professional development activities to stay updated with industry trends and best practices.

Basic Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • At least 3 years of experience in credit investigation, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and evaluate credit risks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with loan applicants and stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, delivering high-quality results within deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially PowerPoint.
